About Canukle
Canukle is a free home for Canuckle and other daily word games with a Canadian twist. Our goal is simple: a quick, fun puzzle every day that teaches you something new about Canada.
What we do
Every day at midnight Toronto time, a new five-letter Canadian word goes live. You get six tries to find it, and when you do, you get a short fun fact about the word and its link to Canada. You can also play Unlimited mode, replay past puzzles from the calendar, and use hints when you are stuck.
Our own word list
Every answer and fun fact on this site is written by our team, from wildlife and food to hockey, history and slang.
Free for everyone
No account, no download and no paywall. The game runs in your browser on any phone, tablet or computer.
Your data stays with you
Your streaks, stats and settings are saved in your own browser, not on our servers.
Who we are
Canukle is run by the Canukle team, a small group of word game fans. We started the site because we love daily puzzles and wanted one place to play them with a Canadian twist. Every game is built to be quick, fair and free, so you can enjoy a few minutes of word fun with your morning coffee.
Our relationship to Canuckle
Canuckle was first created by brothers Mark and Jeff Rogers in Ottawa in 2022. This site is an independent version inspired by that idea, with its own word list, fun facts and features. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the original creators. All trademarks belong to their owners.
